It seems things on my Lekala project page are a little out of order. My last two projects I posted about were done in February and April of 2018, but this one I actually did in December 2017. I guess I paused in the middle of making the blue gored skirt to make this green wrap blouse as a Christmas present for my other younger sister. It took me four days from start to finish. Once again, I used this free pattern from Lekala. I lengthened the shoulder seams the same as on mine. I also cut the same little triangle piece for modesty.

For finishing, I decided to use a stretchy trim consisting of elastic with a gold ruffle. If you can tell in the picture, it has a tiny multi-colored edging. I grabbed this trim at the store along with a bunch of other trims I saw. I knew I’d find something to use it for. The gold complements the green very nicely. I put this trim on the neckline and the cuffs. The bottom edge I finished simply with a single fold and a twin needle straight stitch.
Well, that’s about all there is to say about this green wrap blouse. It was really simple and it fit nicely. As you can see in the picture, my sister likes to pair it with a pink layered skirt I made her for her birthday. Maybe I’ll write a post about that next.
