So I previously posted about the pink ruffle blouse, which was the second shirt my sister sewed for herself. This one came after that, and it has some similarities and some differences.
This blouse is made from another drafted pattern. This time, instead of having princess seams to the shoulders, like the other blouses, it has them to the armscyes.

Similar to pink blouse, this one has ruffles sewn on either side of the button placket, as well as into the collar. Unlike the pink blouse, the placket ruffles end a bit below the bustline instead of going all the way down. She also used a decorative stitch feature on the sewing machine to make this white scallop edging. The buttons are the same style as the pink ruffle shirt and the pink button-down shirt have, this time in white.

The sleeves have a slight gather at the top. They also feature the same white scallop edging at the bottom, along with some elastic gathering which has since mostly worn out.

The back has the same kind of princess seams as the front.

The favorite skirt to combine with this blouse is definitely the black pleated skirt, as shown here.

Isn’t it a cute style? She had barely started sewing and she had so many ideas for things to make.
